Youth Event for FFA, 4-H, and any aspiring auctioneer who is 18 years of age or younger and not licensed as an auctioneer. Thanks to a generous benefactor, the winner will receive $500 cash and a belt buckle. The runner-up will receive $250 cash and a belt buckle. The only entry fee for the Youth Event is two items to sell with an aggerate auction value of $100.

NEW THIS YEAR, we will be hosting the contest at the Kentucky State Fair! We will begin check-in & have a get together the evening before the contest. We will check in all of your auction items and have a meet and greet at the Fairgrounds.

The Kentucky Auctioneers Association, Inc was founded in 1957 by a group of seven farsighted auctioneers who saw the value in the cinergy created by a group of like-minded individuals. The KAA has survived and thrived by staying true to it’s purpose of providing auctioneers with education and networking opportunities to help them be better business people and influential members of their communities while providing much needed services in an atmosphere of fair dealing and honesty. Auctions Work and KAA members continue to prove it everyday!

KAA members not only believe in continuing education for themselves, but are pleased to provide scholarships to assist others in their pursuit of higher education or designations offered by the National Auctioneers Association. A portion of the profits from the Battle of the Bluegrass Bid Calling and Ringman Championships will be placed in our Scholarship Fund to continue this program. Scholarships are awarded at the KAA annual convention in February.
