Now that the contestant field is set, it's time to let everyone know that these guys will be selling some great items at auctions, so everyone is invited to the Blue Grass Stockyard and Marketplace on Aug 24 for the Battle of the Bluegrass Open Bid Calling Contest. I’ve been “in” the auction business since I was 7. I started running clerking sheets at life auctions and graduated to selling refreshments at my dad’s auctions. (Poor dad spent more time taking me shopping for groceries and making his “Missouri ham (bologna) salad for me than I did!) Then I did some cashiering before going to college. Came back after graduation to help after we transitioned to online auctions.

My hometown is Louisville, KY. My dad is and always has been my biggest inspiration by far. I’ve never seen anyone work so hard for their dream as my daddy. My favorite auction memories were 1) at a live real estate auction when Louisville was in the NCAA tourney and dad stopped the auction to see what was going to happen and 2) an online auction that kept us at the office until 11:00pm because people were fighting over a baby grand piano.

We specialize in online estate auctions, especially real estate and personal property. I have the CES (Certified Estate Specialist) and AMM (Auction Marketing Management) certifications. I’m currently in year 3 of being a KAA Board Member, which I respect and love beyond measure.

My future in the auction business consists of following in my dad’s footsteps of being the most trusted and respected auction company in Louisville. If or when he retires, I hope to take over the company and try my hardest to make him proud and make Wardlow Auctions the best it’s ever been.
